Hello once again! Long time no write in the msg board. Here are some hints then to help keep your home healthier for both you and your shelties!
To add another GREAT natural way of cleaning, I have learned how to make my own furniture polish!
One: Put two tablesthingys of olive oil and two tablesthingys of vinegar into a quart of warm water and the put into a spray bottle. Spray on liberally and then buff to a wonderful lasting shine. Moisturizes your wood wonderfully. This is for natural wood pieces not laminates.
Two: Use melted beeswax instead of oil and mix as above. Be careful how you melt the beeswax!!! It can explode if too hot. Treat like home made taffy or candy and melt slowly in a double boiler.
Three: Use some lemon juice instead of vinegar! Oil or beeswax mix. Or mix just beeswax (melted) with some lemon juice and spray on and buff off. I found I like just plain ole' olive oil a lot!!!! Did best for me when mixed with vinegar and water.
Four: SOAP SCUM....take it away with regular shampoo!!! and NOT toxic cleaners. It works.
Five: Again, use vinegar, baking soda, and even corn meal for cleaning around the house. Nothing shines a faucet faster then a squirt of your favorite shampoo.
Six: Remembe those Efferdent tablets! Just stick two in your toilet bowl, scrub with the ole' toilet brush and let sit,.....flush....takes away mineral stains. Use the efferdent with listerine for more germ killing power.
Seven: Ivory soap and Ivory dish detergent can clean off a lot of things around the house and kitchen/bath. A little squirt goes a long way! Also can be used in your steam cleaner for carpets. Not useable in a shampooer though! Also you can have a non toxic and very clean floor while mopping those hard floors by using just a squirt of ivory. Cleaned much better then Mr. Clean for no wax floors.
Eight: Newest invention and works wonders if the new steam mop they have out now everywhere. Works wonders on all your hard floor options. Expensive but well worth it.
Nine: Bissell just made the Bissell Green Machine better with a oscillating scrubber in the handle! It already does wonders for pet stains and accidents. Never have a puppy w/o one!!!!
Nex time, bye!
